PACITA U. JUAN
Chair
She has started many businesses and among them are a coffee shop chain, a farm to table restaurant, and a natural and organic store called ECHOstore. She is a strong advocate of Slow Food, organic farming and sustainable agri-based businesses.
She is the 1st Vice President of the ASEAN Coffee Federation, and a global board member of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance. She is also the founder and President of the NextGenOrganization of Women Corporate Directors (NOWCD), and a Trustee of the Philippine Women’s Economic Network or PHILWEN.
She also sits as an independent director in a publicly-listed REIT company focused on renewable energy.
Ms. Juan is a regular columnist of The Philippine Star under Food for Thought, writing her opinions about food, sustainability and biodiversity.
She has written three books on coffee namely: KAPE (in 2002), BARAKO: The Big Bean (on Liberica coffee in 2005) and The Barista Manual (in 2013 and now on its third printing). Ms. Juan also wrote Cacao:
Bean to Bar in 2013. All books are published by Anvil Publishing.

JERDUEN "NOI" DONGOR
President
Jerduen “Noi” Dongor is a passionate entrepreneur and coffee advocate.
As the CEO of Superhouse Solutions Café Corporation and founder of Coffee Brewtherhood, he has championed the local café scene and helped bring specialty coffee closer to the community.
He also leads Kape Iloilo, supporting local farmers through fair trade and training programs.
Noi is a multi-sectoral leader with roles in hospitality, organizational development, and pest management.
His deep involvement in organizations like the Iloilo Coffee Council, PCCI Iloilo, and the Philippine Coffee Board reflects his dedication to empowering MSMEs and promoting sustainable tourism.
A proud husband and father, Noi finds joy in traveling and discovering cultures through their food and coffee.

ALEJANDRO C. MOJICA
Director
Doc Andy earned his doctorate and masters degrees in Crop Science at the Central Luzon State University. From Dean of Open Learning College to Director of Research, he was Cavite State University’s Vice President on Research, Extension, Continuing Education and Training Services when he retired. He was also once the focal person of the Southern Tagalog Agriculture and Resources Research and Development Consortium. The Department of Environment and Natural Resouces recognized his work on Coffee Micropropagation Technology during its National Biotechnology Week.
He started the somatic and embryogenesis for Barako (or the Liberica variety). Doc Andy is known as the Prime Barako Researcher, having written the book “Barako: The Big Bean”. A mainstay in national and international trainings, workshops, seminars, and conventions on coffee, he became consultant, trainor, and resource person of private sectors, other state universities, and government agencies.

ROSARIO "ROS" T. JUAN
Director
Ros is a third generation entrepreneur who always dreamed of opening her own café. She interned for a
coffee company as a teen and has since been immersed in the realities of the Philippine Coffee industry.
She has spent more than half her life in coffee, working in marketing, communications, community
engagement and store operations in Manila, Philippines and in Shanghai, China. She took a brief hiatus
from the coffee world to do pioneering work in the local digital advertising industry, launching corporate
campaigns and social media for social good initiatives. In 2013, she returned to her first love, coffee, and
finally opened her own café, Commune. Ros is also the President of the International Women’s Coffee
Alliance’s Philippine chapter.
During the pandemic, she led the “Coffee Home Brewers” community and is now over 60,000 members
strong on Facebook. Ros is a social media strategist, café operator, coffee roaster, certified Q grader.
She has an Instagram Live session , “The Brew Tonight,” where she talks about all things coffee.

Treasurer
Bill was responsible for gathering the coffee stakeholders back in 2002 to what is now a 23-year-old authority in coffee. He is the current Chairman of Liveable Cities Philippines and the Chief Resiliency Officer of the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation. Bill is an avid coffee drinker and has also tried to plant coffee.

EMMANUEL "MANNY" U. TORREJON
Director
Manny has spent most of his 30 years in coffee as a roaster and continues to be an avid enthusiast in roasting specialty coffee.

PRINCESS KUMALA SUG-ELARDO
Director
Princess Lalah has been the poster lady of coffee in ARMM since she organized the People’s Alliance for Multi-Purpose Cooperative in 2009. She is a recipient of various awards, including the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network award in 2017, AgriMover in 2022, and agrarian reform champion of Sulu and BARMM in 2023.

ATTY. CAESARIO REX "CHOI" P. KAPUNAN
SPOKESPERSON AND PR OFFICER
Choi is the chief extraction officer of the Common Folk Group of Companies. He has been in the coffee
industry for almost 10 years as a cafe owner and coffee roaster. He believes that local coffee farmers
should be empowered to earn a living wage which can be done by purchasing local quality coffee beans
at a fair and equitable price.
Choi endeavors to champion Philippine coffee by making it available for more consumers and educating
more people about its great potential.

ROBERT FRANCISCO
Technical Director
Robert has been in the coffee industry since 1993. He has a wealth of experience in coffee shop operations and in running a roastery. Robert is a graduate of Hotel and Restaurant Administration at UP Diliman. He took courses in Culinary Arts and other related interests. He is the lead instructor of the UCC Coffee Academy in the Philippines and a certified head trainer of the ASEAN Coffee Institute. Robert is also a CQI Q Assistant Instructor, a CQI Arabica Q Grader, and a CQI Processing Professional.
